STEP 1
The first step of the servicing process involves disassembling the pumps at the technician’s work bench under an exhaust hood. Gloves, eye protection, respiratory masks and aprons are used as part of the process to ensure the safety of technicians. All parts of the vacuum pump are cleaned initially with non-toxic, biodegradable, environmentally safe cleaner.
STEP 2
If necessary, the surfaces of any parts that are heavily contaminated are cleaned with the bead blast machine then blown off with the compressed air. The parts are then rinsed with a solvent, leaving the surfaces free from any harmful processed contamination.
STEP 3
Major parts are then inspected to make sure there is no scoring and that they meet factory specifications. All other components are discarded and replaced.
STEP 4
The next step of the vacuum pump service involves reassembling the vacuum pump at the technicians work bench using a brand-new OEM major rebuild kit. This kit includes new gaskets, vanes, seals, and O-rings.
STEP 5
After the pump has been reassembled it is then tested. A vacuum gauge is used to test the absolute vacuum pressure and see how fast it pumps down. The pump is monitored for pressure and temperature and the data is recorded on a test sheet.
STEP 6
Once all the readings are correct the pump is taken to the spray booth to be painted.
STEP 7
At this stage the vacuum pump is taken to our inspection department where it goes through a final QA. Protective cap plugs are placed onto the intake and exhaust ports of the pump to prevent anything from getting inside. A nameplate is placed on the pump showing the model, S/N and the date it was shipped. After this final step, the vacuum pump maintenance process is complete.
